ACHILLES HEELS

Parents meeting session last Friday was alright because I asked my brother to come instead of my parents. And goodness, my best 3 subjects is 9 points X(. Last semester was 6 points! My brother was like "Very bad eh Farlinah. Very bad." in front of Mr Chis and Mr Yap. Thoughtlessly, Mr Chris ended the meeting with a very shocking question.

"Does she have any boyfriend?"

I was rather taken aback by his question. So was the brother.

"Why your teacher asked me if you have any boyfriend? Like, of all questions?"
"How should I know!"
"Maybe he saw you with your boyfriend in school before tak?"
"No lah. Maybe I look like I have a boyfriend?"
"You look like or you already have one?"

And so I shut up upon hearing that.

After the whole thing ended, we reached home, tired. The sun was beating and beads of perspirations could be seen trickling down our face when we reached home. I was tired. My brother was tired. But not until my mom said "Jom. Kiter go town. GSS dah start!". My eyes went wide with excitement and my brother had that happiness registered on his face. However, we tried very hard to conceal our growing excitement. Upon reaching OG@Orchard, the boys went to look for their stuffs while mom and me pampered ourselves at the Lingerie Section. Pierre Cardin is on crazy sale! We went Centrepoint next and by the time we reached Takashimaya, my energy level had already drained to half. And Liyana, if you plan to grab a GUESS wallet, go to GUESS@Takashimaya. Super crazy sale tau! Oh they literally longok-longok all the wallets and bags and all the people went kiasu-ing together. 50% off for the watches too. Now you tell me, how can I resist such thing?

Enough of blabbering.

I will be sitting for my O level malay paper tomorrow morning. Can I be scared and nervous at the same time? People people, please be nice. I need them good lucks!

"Dear God, I hope that Farlinah will go through her malay paper tomorrow with ease and calm. I wish her many-many good lucks. Lastly, I really hope she won't forget all the peribahasa that she had memorised and the format of letter writing when she wakes up tomorrow. Amin"
