ON THE FIELD, I REMEMBER, YOU WERE INCREDIBLE

[Current Music: The Killers - Andy You're a Star]

When we were young, our mom always dressed us up in similar clothing, but different colour. Take for example, when I was eight, my mom bought for me a blue skirt for Hari Raya. She was eleven by then, and her mom too, bought the similar piece, in red. It was a suit complete with a beret. So, we were happy and people thought we're siblings.

When we were young, we always opted for the same hairstyle, at that famous one and only hair saloon over at Joo Chiat. Oh yes, in case you all are wondering, the saloon still exists. Our mom brought us there, at least once every 2 months to get our hair trimmed. Then, we would sulked because our moms preferred bangs to our own preferred choice. You know, that time was zaman fringe panjang-panjang (lagi panjang, lagi bagus) and sometimes, it could lead to crying because our oh-so-long fringe got cut away. Therefore, we abhored going to the hairdresser so much.

When we were young, we had too many dreams. Teacher la, bank accountant la, doctor la, montessori teacher la, poly student with a good-looking boyfriend la. Far too many for a young girl, I must say. We never failed to buy that recepits look alike thingy at Big Bookshop, which is situated very near to her house. We had barbies. Far too many, too. Name it, we used to have it. Barbie ala Mermaid? Barbie which changed her hair colour when washed with water? Barbie with white-colured undies? No undies at all? We had it all. Sometimes, we brought our favourite barbies when we meet outside, played in front of other girls and made them looked at us and be jealous. Hahaha. So you think we were the best of cousins? Not all the time. I was the meaner one. I've always been one, someone said. Heh. I remember, when I told my brother that she has a boyfriend when she was twelve, she got angry and refused to talk to me. I got angry because of that, therefore, went up right to her, and poked her eyeball. Ouch. Then, when she was in the toilet, I would take her gadget that we all once owed, called the Tamaguchi or Digimon or whatever crap, and pressed the reset button. Now now, how mean can I get ey? Like totally baby.

I've seen her darkest moments. I've seen her in her most burok-nak-mampos-sampai-aku-tak-boleh-angkat state. I've seen her fought with Farhan, throwing him profanities after profanities. (You know, she look really scary sampai kadang-kadang aku nak berbual pon takot)

Now, we're all grown up. She turn a year older today. With the number 2 in front, no less. On her 19th, I had a tub of BNJ delivered right to her doorstep after my malay paper. Semangat aku.

Happy 20th sugar roll. Don't rush through things and cepat-cepat kahwin ok? As much as I can't wait to see you on the dais, I still want to have a kick-ass wild party (step wild party eh! haha!) with you every now and then. And no, stop saying that I'm the one that would get married first ey. I know I'm miang hehehe but but, ok la let's put this topic aside. Marriage topic excites me too much. Heh. Have a blast date with Farhan because he is the best ex-boyfriend I ever know off. Love you, tits!

That aside, I had my malay paper today and I reached school as early as 7.45am when the paper starts at 8.30am. Went inside school and fuck lord, my Chinese friends whispered saying I smelled of fags. Like okay, since when is my apple body splash changed its smell? Gaaa! Checked the exam venue and I got confused because I couldn't find my register number. Hahaha. Papers were alright. Composition was shit and letter writting was shittier. So I saw him in school and Ulfah never fails to say, "I saw your boyfriend." or "OMG Farlinah, he's coming your way!!" Aiyeh! I don't like him la and for the last time, I don't like him.

NO, REALLY!
